#118 fixed email2trac ver 0.60 - login name not set and email bounces bas "Pusateri, Matthew" <Matthew.Pusateri@…>
Description
Hi,

I'm using the latest version of email2trac 0.60 released 1/19/2009 on
trac 0.11 with ubuntu 8.10, and sendmail.

I'm seeing two issues and do not know if they are a bug or not. I can
post to the trac-user mailing list if need be and or open bugs if
necessary.

1. I have ignore_trac_user_settings set to 0 (zero) in my
email2trac.conf file(Defaults section), but the reporter never gets
set
to the login name, it will only set it to an email address

2. We send email to our exchange server which forwards to our ticket
system, the exchange server changes the mail header so the from email
address looks like firstname.lastname@servername.domain.com instead of
firstname.lastname@domain.com The ticket gets created fine, and
users
get notified of the new ticket, but we also get a new ticket created
from a email bounc as first@servername.domainname.com being
undeliverable. Not sure where it is stripping the lastname from?

Any ideas on these?

Thanks,

Matt Pusateri

#61 fixed Notifications not sent when email2trac adds a ticket bas pprovost@…
Description

Hello,

I realize that there are other tickets on this subject, but this is (in my opinion) slightly different. The similarity is that notifications only get sent out when adding a ticket via the web interface. Adding via email2trac works, but no notification is sent. When running the test with the given mail, I get the following:

# cat email2trac-0.13/msg.txt | email2trac --project=pprovost
TD: Failure sending notification on creation of ticket #18: 'str' object is not callable

This is with Trac 0.11 and email2trac 0.13

#93 duplicate Attachments are added to tickets, but are broken bas planktr@…
Description

I have email2trac working on a Windows server using fetchmail+Cygwin. I have also had luck with GetMail?. Messages are being retrieved from Exchange 2003 server. I've tried using POP3 and IMAP. With either tool, attachments are being created on the tickets, but they don't open. For example, an image attachment is added to the ticket, but when clicked on, the file appears as a broken image. In the trac attachments folder, there are image files that are of the expected size, but they don't open.

Is there a configuration setting that would impact this?

When using GetMail?, i enabled the extract option and the attachments were stored separately, so i assume the attachments are arriving with the messages, it just seems like they aren't making it through the email2trac script.

Any ideas?
