Description
Currently email2trac translates formatting like this:
- /words in italics /: /words in italics /
- *words in bold *: *words in bold *
Is there a way to make these use trac WikiFormatting:
- ''words in italics '': words in italics
- '''words in bold ''': words in bold

Did you post it to the right project. I just support the wiki-syntax or you can escape it. There is another project that converts mail to tickets:
We are using email2trac. Does email2trac use https://trac-hacks.org/wiki/MailToTracPlugin?

No, we have: verbatim_format: 0 As such, bold is translated to *words in bold * and italics as /words in italics /.
If we keep verbatim_format: 0, is it possible to translate bold to '''words in bold ''' and italics to ''words in italics ''?

That is strange. That this mode does not support the trac wiki formatting. I have to test it. At our site we use verbatim_formate:1 mode. I let you know if we have the same problem. which trace version do you use?

We just upgraded from trac 0.10 to trac 1.0 and the issue was the same for both versions. (And we also had to upgrade to email2trac 2.6.2)
