Description

Hi,

I have installed the dellomsa package, it seems to work fine, the only 'problem' is that the start up of the deamon is very slow (at boot time) and the cpu usage is relatively high (but that's not very important).

The start up of dsm_sa_eventmgr32d takes about 3 minutes. Is that normal, or can i speed that up.

The process dsm_sa_datamgr3 takes a lot of CPU power, is that normal, i suppose a data mining deamon should be more CPU friendly. It takes almost constantly between the 2% and 10% of one CPU.

I use debian stable/lenny, my system is an Dell 1750 (Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 2.80GHz)

Regards, Ferdinand

I don;t know what is happing here. 3 minutes to start up a daemon is very long. You can do a strace and see what the process is doing. We do not have any 1750's anymore
