Just like SystemImager, Sali also uses dhcp options for setting variables. But Sali uses a different range. According to [http://www.networksorcery.com/enp/protocol/bootp/options.htm networksorcey.com] range 224-254 is for private use. So ideal for Sali. The table here below shows the current used DhcpOptions by Sali.

To use our dhcp options with udhcpc a [source:trunk/initrd/patches/busybox.udhcpc.options.patch patch] must be applied to the busybox source.
