Welcome to torque_2_deb pages
This software will create a debian installable package from the TORQUE source. Terascale Open-Source Resource and QUEue Manager (a.k.a. TORQUE) is a resource manager providing control over batch jobs and distributed compute nodes derived from OpenPBS
Note: Debian squeeze/wheezy has torque packages
How to use it with Torque 2.4:
- Unpack it in torque source directory, eg:
- cd torque-2.4.7
- svn co https://oss.trac.surfsara.nl/torque_2_deb/tags/2.4 debian
- dch -i
- debian/rules binary
How to use it with Torque 5.1:
- Unpack it in torque source directory, eg:
- cd torque-5.1
- svn co https://oss.trac.surfsara.nl/torque_2_deb/svn/trunk debian
- dch -i
- debian/rules binary
There is a init.d script included in the debian package. This script looks at /etc/default/torque to see which daemons must be started. The /etc/default/torque file is generated by debconf.
How to use this system
This system is configured for the following tasks:
- Submit problems via ticket system
- Can checkout the sources via subversion:
- svn co https://oss.trac.surfsara.nl/torque_2_deb/svn/tags, for the stable sources
- svn co https://oss.trac.surfsara.nl/torque_2_deb/svn/trunk for the latest source
- Browse the sources
- Everybody can add or change documentation.
